1917 - Sophus Weber 1917 - Sophus Weber - Hot WireThe sources of errors involved in the determination of the thermal conductivity of gases by Schleiermacher’s method are subjected to a critical analysis, and a modified form of apparatus is described in which the errors due to convection are greatly reduced.

Apparatus is placed vertically. With this improved form of apparatus, measurements of the thermal conductivity of a number of gases have been made.
